While traveling from Wisconsin to Montana for summer camp, sixteen-year-old Ry steps off the train for what was supposed to be a momentary pause in his trip, only to be left stranded in what appears to be the middle of nowhere as his train departs without him. Left without any of his belongings apart from a dead cell phone, Ry befriends a man named Del who serves as his sidekick on an epic adventure to get back home. Watch Alike....On the Road
Based on Jack Kerouac's 1957 novel, the upcoming film version of On the Road is an excellent movie suggestion for readers in search of additional travel stories. The film documents the adventures of writer Sal Paradise as he travels across the country with his daring friend, Dean Moriarty. This well-known story is based off of Kerouac's real-life travels with friend Neal Cassady and is a popular representation of the Beat Generation with strong themes of poetry and jazz. A fast-paced and character driven story, On the Road is certainly something to look forward to this December. Enjoy the trailer below and check out IMDB for more information.
